Just taking a breather after driving from the Beara Peninsula to the Dingle Peninsula, through Moll’s Gap with quick stops at Muckross House and the stunning beach at Inch. We then drove Slea Head, the route for my half-marathon tomorrow. Gorgeous scenery — check out the “selfie” I took and the view — but quite the uphill climb for this runner! Rain and wind are moving in during the day tomorrow, so who knows. We’ll see how it goes. Running 13.1 miles isn’t easy but this is supposed to be a fun not a grueling experience.

Speaking of fun, I very much appreciate the early comments from readers who’ve already dived into and enjoyed Thief’s Mark, which hit stores this week. Thank you!

While here in Ireland, we’ve overheard many people sending well wishes to those touched by Harvey. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by this storm. Our town was hard-hit by Irene a few years ago and I remember the outpouring of help and care. Like so many, Joe and I  are donating to various organizations ready, willing and able to help. Together, we can make a difference.
