Ah…this photo brings back memories of walking on the rocks on the Maine coast. I also love to sit on a boulder and watch the lobster boats — with a book in hand! Renting a cottage “down east” is the perfect way to relax.

This coastline picture captures exactly what I love about New England. Rocks, pine trees, ocean… lovely.
So many people I know think “flat sandy beaches” when they think of the coast, but flat sand doesn’t really do anything for me. After about 5 minutes of gazing it’s boring. I love the variable nature of the rocks and how the water washes it all. It’s wonderful.
I really need to get to the shore this spring/summer and take pictures. It will immediately go on my todo list so I don’t forget.
I was fortunate to visit a friend in Ogunquit, ME a few years ago. What a beautiful place. These pictures bring back many fond memories. I love your books – I am an avid reader and look forward to your new books.
