We had a quiet, if somewhat gloomy, day for Thanksgiving and a wonderful time with family. We 
thought we’d have snow last night, but we missed it, although other parts of Vermont didn’t. Here’s another “cold river” shot from last winter. I like to stay on trails when I’m out snowshoeing. This scene reminds me how easy it is to step wrong and end up in icy water.
