We love watching wild turkeys parade through our yard on our hilltop here in Vermont. I’ll stop work on a book and watch them from our deck or screened porch.
We’ve had a solitary turkey hanging about up here for the last month. The idiot bird stands in the middle of the road and blocks traffic. I keep waiting to see that he’s been hit by a car, but so far he’s escaped. This amazes me considering there is a decent amount of traffic on that particular road.
I’d love to get a pic of him standing on one leg in front of a line of backed up cars, but I’m always driving so I can’t do it even with my cell phone. (ah the missed photo ops…)
Love the gobblers. I so envy you your window on the wilderness!
Your blog looks great
In our Ark. backyard, I’ve only seen one turkey at a time.
